ARCHEOLOGY, Inspiration, The Clovis Hard-Liners, A Selection From THE SUN LOVES EVERY PLANET

Picking through the bones of the past
At least the ones they can still find
In the dust and clay of ancient civilizations
Which tell their secrets only in the minds
Of those who build their theories
On less fact than fiction and then cram them
Down everyone’s throat and call it education
Because, after all
They’re educated men and women
Seekers of knowledge, experts at analysis
Up to date on all the latest research
Brave souls who do their best
To think outside the box
And make the trendy paradigm shift
Their colleagues will clap for at banquets
And ice cream socials
Norman Rockwell would have painted
Patting each other on the back
A job well done they tell themselves
And each other that they’re indispensable
Unparalleled intellectuals
The best modern science has to offer
The future rests in their hands
When they have no clue about the past
And even less about the present
